Robert de Veer

Robert de Veer is Assured Investment Management’s Chief Risk Officer, responsible for independent risk oversight of the firm’s investment strategies and portfolio construction for its funds and client portfolios. In his role, Mr. DeVeer oversees the Risk and Portfolio Construction and Quantitative Strategies teams. Prior to joining Assured, Mr. de Veer was with The Carlyle Group for more than nine years in various roles, including Head of Portfolio Management & Analytics in Carlyle’s Real Estate Solutions business and Vice-President in the Customized Investment Group of Carlyle’s Solutions business.

Mr. de Veer received an M.S. in Quantitative Finance & Actuarial Sciences, an M.S. in Investment Analysis, a B.S in Econometrics & OR, and a B.S. in Investment Analysis from Tilburg University (the Netherlands). He is also a CFA charterholder, FRM charterholder and CAIA charterholder.
