Lee Kempler

Lee Kempler is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Distribution of Assured Investment Management, and leads Marketing & Investor Relations. Previously, Mr. Kempler was a Managing Director at BlackRock, where he was the founding Executive Director of the BlackRock Investment Institute, an industry-leading platform for collaboration among portfolio managers and communication of investment insight to clients. Prior to BlackRock, Mr. Kempler was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he spent nearly 25 years serving clients in financial services. He was also the firm’s first Director of Knowledge, with responsibility for capturing, codifying, and disseminating the firm’s intellectual property.

Mr. Kempler holds B.A., B.S., and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is Chair of the Board of Advisors of SAIS and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
